Manage Slackbot access to connected Salesforce organisations

Slackbot can find information from any Salesforce orgs that are connected to your Slack workspace or Enterprise organisation. By default, Slackbot can access information from all connected orgs, but owners and admins can choose to restrict access to certain orgs.

Note: When generating a response that includes Salesforce data, Slackbot will only include information available to people based on their permissions in Salesforce. 


Manage Slackbot access

Business+ subscriptions

Enterprise subscriptions

  1. From your desktop, click   Admin in the sidebar. 
  2. Select Manage Salesforce organisations from the menu. 
  3. Select a Salesforce org. 
  4. Click the Slackbot tab. 
  5. Click Edit next to Allow Slackbot to access data from this organisation
  1. From your desktop, click your organisation name in the sidebar. 
  2. Hover over Tools & settings, then click Manage Salesforce organisations
  3. Select a Salesforce org. 
  4. Click on the Settings tab. 
  5. Click Edit next to Allow Slackbot to access data from this organisation.

Who can use this feature?

  • Org owners/admins (Enterprise subscriptions) and workspace owners/admins (Business+ subscriptions)
  • Available on the new versions of Business+ and Enterprise+ subscriptions
  • Available on the legacy Business+ and Enterprise Grid subscriptions with the Slack AI add-on
