Group direct messages (DMs) are conversations between three or more people, outside of channels. To loop in other people, you can add them to a group DM. Adding someone new will start a new DM without the previous conversation’s history.
From your desktop, open a group DM.
Click the cluster of profile pictures in the top right corner.
Click Add people to this group DM.
Start typing the name of the person you’d like to add, then select them from the list.
Click Go to create a new DM.
From a group DM, tap the details icon in the top right.
Tap Add people.
Tap the boxes next to the people you'd like to add.
