Dropbox lets you store and share files securely. With the Dropbox apps for Slack, you can easily access, create, and share Dropbox files right from your workspace.
Dropbox apps for Slack
There are two Dropbox apps for Slack — Dropbox and Dropbox Paper. Read on to see what each app offers:

Install Dropbox apps to Slack
Depending on which service you use, you can install one or both Dropbox apps to your Slack workspace.

Visit the Dropbox app page in the Slack App Directory.
Click Add to Slack. You’ll be taken to the Dropbox website.
Click Connect to Slack.
Select Got it, then click Allow to grant Dropbox access to Slack.
Visit the Dropbox Paper app page in the Slack App Directory.
Click Add to Slack. You’ll be taken to the Dropbox website.
Click Connect Paper and Slack.
Select Allow, then click Allow again to grant Dropbox access to Slack.
Click Go to Paper in Slack to return to your workspace.
Tip: If a Dropbox app is already installed to your workspace, you’ll see the option to Open in Slack rather than Add to Slack.

Once the Dropbox app is installed, members can start using it immediately (but may be prompted to sign in to Dropbox).
To use the Dropbox Paper app, members will need to connect their accounts using the steps below:
From any conversation, click the plus icon next to the message field.
Search for and select /paper from the menu to add the slash command to the message field.
Send the message.
Click Connect Paper and Slack to visit the Dropbox website. Then click Connect Paper and Slack.
Select Allow to grant Dropbox access to Slack, then click Allow again to grant Slack access to Dropbox.
Click Go to Paper in Slack to return to your workspace.
Tip: You can disconnect or reconnect your Slack and Dropbox accounts from the Connected apps page on the Dropbox website.

Use the Dropbox app to share files from Slack or Dropbox.
Share files from Slack
From any conversation, click the plus icon next to the message field.
Search for and select Dropbox.
Select the file you’d like to share and click Choose.
Send your message to share the file.
Share files from Dropbox
In Dropbox, click Files in the left sidebar and locate the file you'd like to share.
Click the arrow icon next to the Share button. From the drop-down menu, select Share in Slack.
Choose where to share your file.
Click Send to share it in Slack.
Create files
From any conversation, click the plus icon next to the message field.
Search for and select /paper from the menu to add the slash command to the message field.
Following /paper in the message field, type new and a name for your file if you’d like.
Send your message to create the file. To share it in the conversation, click Post.

Search for and select /paper from the menu to add the slash command to the message field.
Following /paper in the message field, type your search query.
