Rebuild a workflow that started with a shortcut trigger

When we launched the new version of Workflow Builder, we replaced the shortcut trigger with the option to Start from a link in Slack. With this new trigger, you can share a workflow link in any Slack conversation to display a button that will start the workflow when clicked.

Replicate a workflow shortcut

If you find you're missing the option to start a workflow from the shortcuts menu, you can add the link to a workflow to your channel's bookmarks bar. To learn how, follow the steps below:

  1. Build a workflow that starts from a link in Slack. Select the   Starts from a link in Slack trigger, add your steps, then click Finish Up and follow the prompts to publish your workflow.

  2. Copy the workflow link. Once your workflow is published, click Copy link. To copy the link for an existing workflow, hover over   More in your sidebar, then select   Automations. Find and select the workflow in the list, then click Copy workflow link.

Your workflow will appear in the conversation header, and anyone can hover over the   Workflows tab to find and start the workflow.
