Add contacts to your VIP list

To help you focus on your most important notifications, set specific people as VIPs to make their messages stand out.

Note: The VIP list feature is rolling out gradually. We appreciate your patience as we make it available on all paid plans in the coming weeks.

Add or remove VIPs

The people you designate as VIPs will have a dedicated section at the top of your sidebar for unread messages, and unread direct messages (DMs) from your VIPs will appear at the top of the   DMs tab. You can add up to 300 people, from both your organization and external organizations, to your VIP list.

  1. Click your profile picture in the sidebar.

  2. Select Preferences from the menu.
  3. Click VIP list.
  4. Search for and select the member you’d like to add. To remove a member from your VIP list, click Remove.

Allow notifications during Do Not Disturb

You can set notifications from your VIPs to always be delivered, even when Do Not Disturb (DND) is enabled.

  2. Select Preferences from the menu.
  3. Click VIP list.
  4. Check or uncheck Always allow notifications from VIPs.

  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Tap the toggle next to Always allow notifications from VIPs.


Filter VIP activity

In Activity, you can filter your notifications to only see notifications from VIPs. When viewing all activity, unread notifications from your VIPs will appear at the top of the feed.

  1. Click   Activity in the sidebar.
