Add the Zapier app to Slack
To use the Zapier app in Slack, one person needs to install the app to your workspace. Once the app is installed, members can connect their Zapier accounts to Slack to use it.
Click Allow to grant Zapier access to Slack. If you’re not signed in to your Zapier account, you’ll be prompted to do so.
Select Open Slack to go back to your workspace.
Note: If someone has already installed the Zapier app to your workspace, you’ll see Open in Slack on the app page.
Connect your Zapier account to Slack
Once the Zapier app is installed to your workspace, you can follow the steps below to connect your account:
From your desktop, click Apps at the top of your left sidebar. If you don’t see this option, click More to find it.
Search for and select Zapier to open the app.
Click the Home tab at the top of the screen.
Click Get started.
Select Allow to grant Zapier access to Slack. If you’re not signed in to your Zapier account, you’ll be prompted to do so.
Select Open Slack to go back to your workspace.
Use Zapier in Slack
From the Zapier app's Home tab in Slack, you'll see Zaps you’ve created or modified recently. You'll also find links to the Zapier website, where you can manage, connect, or create new Zaps.
Manage your Zaps
To edit a Zap, click Edit Zap. To view a Zap's task history, click the Task History button below the Zap. You’ll be taken to the Zapier website, and any changes you make will update in Slack immediately after saving them.
Connect Zaps to Slack
Zapier offers a number of Zaps designed for use in Slack that you can easily add to your workspace. Click the Try It button next to any Zap to set it up to run in your workspace.
Create a new Zap
If you have an idea in mind for a custom Zap, click Make a new Zap to set one up on the Zapier website. When you’re finished setting up and testing your Zap, click Turn On Zap.
Add Zapier steps to Slack workflows
If you’re using Slack on a paid plan, you can add steps from the Zapier app to workflows you create using Workflow Builder. The Zapier app offers more than 120 workflow steps you can use to connect Slack workflows with a variety of other services (like your CRM, email, spreadsheets, and more). Once the Zapier app is installed to your workspace, you’ll see available steps in the Workflow Builder step library.
If you no longer want to use the Zapier app in Slack, you can disconnect your account. Disconnecting your account won’t uninstall the app from your workspace or prevent others from using it.
From your desktop, click Apps at the top of your left sidebar. If you don’t see this option, click More to find it.
Search for and select Zapier to open the app.
Click the Home tab at the top of the screen.
Click the three dots icon next to your name.
Select Disconnect.
