Manage access to Slackbot for your workspace or Enterprise organization
Owners and admins can manage access to Slackbot for their Slack workspace or Enterprise organization.
What to expect
Business+ and Enterprise Select plans Slackbot will start rolling out on January 13, 2026. Once it’s available in your workspace, you can manage access.
Enterprise Grid and Enterprise+ plans You can manage access to Slackbot until February 9, 2026 to determine who can use the feature once it rolls out. Starting February 10, Slackbot will be turned on for all members if you don’t adjust permissions beforehand. To start using Slackbot right away, follow the steps below.
Note:The new version of Slackbot is rolling out gradually, and Org Owners and Org Admins on Enterprise Grid and Enterprise+ plans can manage access before it’s released.

From your desktop, click Admin in the sidebar.
Select Workspace settings from the menu.
Click Roles & permissions and select Feature access.
Click AI.
Next to Slackbot, click Edit.
Select Everyone or No One.
Check the box next to Slackbot can edit and add content to canvases to give Slackbot permission to create and modify canvases. You can also decide which files can be included in Slackbot responses.
You can set permissions to manage access to Slackbot once it rolls out to your organization on or after February 10, or enable it immediately once you’ve decided who can use it.
From your desktop, click your organization name in the sidebar.
Select Tools & settings from the menu, then click Organization settings.
Click Roles & permissions and select Feature access.
Click AI.
Next to Slackbot, click Edit and choose who can use it — No one, Only specific people and groups, Everyone except specific people and groups, or Everyone.
Check the box next to Slackbot can edit and add content to canvases to give Slackbot permission to create and modify canvases. You can also decide which files can be included in Slackbot responses.
Click Save.
To turn Slackbot on immediately, click Yes, Enable Now. Select No, Wait to apply your settings when Slackbot rolls out to your organization.
